Ponsharden Boatyard

The brief was to provide a multi-use industrial building to house modern facilities for the production of luxury sailing yachts (up to 18m in length), restoration and storage facilities for the National Maritime Museum’s collection of large exhibits whilst they are not being displayed in their museum at near-by Falmouth, together with tourist-information and ticket sales facilities for the adjacent ‘park and float’ service to central Falmouth and the National Maritime Museum. The development also incoprorated a 450 space car park; bus stop (for a ‘park and ride’ service), and a commercial slipway and pontoon facilities.
