St Petrocs Residential Care Home

This scheme for extensive alterations and extensions to a residential old persons care home in Bodmin is currently at Planning Approval Stage. Due to the historic context of the existing building an innovative design solution needed to be found. pdp Green proposed two new semi subterranean bedroom accommodation wings along with replacement of existing poor quality extensions to create an additional 29 bedrooms and accompanying living spaces along with new entrance and office accommodation. The design maintains the setting of the existing listed building within a large garden with mature trees. New buildings form part of the garden and are designed to become part of the landscape thus minimisng the developments impact and not compromising the integrity of the listed building.
